1. Introduction and Data Controller
Petwim stores your pets' health records only on your phone and never sends them to any server. The only data that leaves your device is usage statistics we use to improve the app.
This Privacy Policy covers the Petwim mobile application (the "App") provided by CetinCode ("we", "us", or "our"). We are the data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Data We Process
Data That Stays on Your Device
The pet details you enter, including name, species, breed, birth date, photo, vaccine records, parasite treatment records, medication records, weight records, veterinarian and clinic information, notes, and reminders, are stored only on your device.
We cannot access this data, we do not collect it, and we do not share it with anyone.
When you create and share a PDF report, you choose who receives it. Sharing takes place through the application you select and does not pass through our servers.
Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC, to understand how the App is used. Analytics data may include:
App opens
Screens viewed
Features used
Session duration
App Instance ID (a random identifier assigned to the App installation)
Device model
Operating system version
App version
Device language
Approximate location derived from IP address (country or city level only)
We never include pet records, notes, medical information, reminders, or photos in analytics events.
We do not use analytics data for advertising purposes.
Purpose and Legal Basis
We process analytics data solely to:
Identify and fix bugs
Improve application performance
Understand which features are used
Improve the user experience
The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest under KVKK Article 5/2-f and GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
3. Permissions, Sharing, Retention and Security
Permissions
The App may use the following permissions:
Notifications
To display vaccine, medication, and parasite treatment reminders created on your device.
Internet
To send analytics data to Google Analytics for Firebase.
Photos / Photo Picker
To allow you to select a photo for your pet profile. Only the photo you choose is accessed and it remains on your device.
Sharing and International Transfers
We do not sell, rent, or share your data for advertising purposes.
Analytics data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf and may be transferred to and stored on Google servers located outside Türkiye. Such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable KVKK and GDPR requirements.

We may disclose information when required by law or by a valid legal request from public authorities.
Retention
Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it or uninstall the App.
If Android automatic backup is enabled on your device, your data may be backed up to your Google account. We do not have access to those backups.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics for Firebase retention policies.
Security
Analytics data is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections.
To help protect your pet records stored on your device, we recommend using a screen lock, password, PIN, or biometric protection on your phone.
Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
4. Your Rights
Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have the right to:

Learn the purpose of processing
Learn whether data is transferred to third parties
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion or destruction of data where applicable
Object to certain processing activities
Claim compensation for damages resulting from unlawful processing
If you are located in the European Union, you may also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

5. Deleting Data
Delete On-Device Data
You can delete records directly within the App or uninstall the App from your device.
